Fine China, porcelain, ceramics and any similar material can be repaired extremely well with Miracle Glue. Usually, it is as simple as putting a thin bead along one side and putting the two pieces together.
Make sure any dust or bits are brushed off the surface you are going to glue. Practice first putting the two pieces together before you apply the adhesive. Apply Miracle Glue to one surface. A thin bead will be plenty. Any that squeezes out, leave. Once it has solidified a bit, you can scrape off the excess with an Exacto knife or something similar.
If you are trying to glue something very porous like terra cotta, clay or plaster you will lose most of the glue into the material unless you dampen the surface first. I’ll use a damp cloth or mist from a spray bottle to moisten both surfaces. Wipe off any excess and apply the glue. Full cure time is 3-6 hours. Once fully cured dishes are safe in the dishwasher.
Glass. Glass is a different thing. You need a very clean surface and a perfect fit. If there are chips of glass missing resulting in an imperfect fit, the bond may not be that good. Either way, once you have glued something glass together it won’t do as well in a dishwasher or microwave.
