Fine China, porcelain, ceramics and any similar material can be repaired extremely well with Miracle Glue. Usually, it is as simple as putting a thin bead along one side and putting the two pieces together.
Make sure any dust or bits are brushed off the surface you are going to glue. Practice first putting the two pieces together before you apply the adhesive. Apply Miracle Glue to one surface. A thin bead will be plenty. Any that squeezes out, leave. Once it has solidified a bit, you can scrape off the excess with an Exacto knife or something similar.
If you are trying to glue something very porous like terra cotta or clay or plaster you will loose most of the glue into the material unless you dampen the surface first. I’ll use a damp cloth or mist from a spray bottle to moisten both surfaces. Wipe off any excess and apply the glue. Full cure time is 3-6 hours. Once fully cured dishes are safe in the dishwasher.
Glass. Glass is a different thing. You need a very clean surface and a perfect fit. If there are chips of glass missing resulting in an imperfect fit, the bond may not be that good. Either way once you have glued something glass together it won’t do as well in a dishwasher or microwave.
Fillers
Miracle Glue is an excellent glue but it needs a tight bond. The surfaces have to be flush together. If there is a gap, say, a loose dowel in a chair or a loose leg on a table you can use a filler with Miracle Glue to help with the repair. This way you can repair the chair or table without having to take it apart.
You can put some dry baking soda (or cornstarch or talcum powder) down into the crack between the dowel and the piece it’s in. Work it in until it’s packed tightly, then blow off any loose powder. Add 2-3 drops of glue at the joint and within a few seconds it will be like concrete.
Sawdust also makes an excellent fill when working with wood. One simply fills the hole with the right colour of sawdust and applies drops of glue. You may have to build up the sawdust and glue in increments until you have the desired thickness.
Attempting to mix a fill which you will then put into a hole is an exercise in futility. It will turn into a solid in seconds.
Furniture
We were at a fair in Oregon in the summer and were trying to glue wood – it was extremely dry wood and wasn’t holding very well at all. We experimented a bit and found that if we primed the dry surfaces with water the bond was extremely fast and unbelievably tight. You don’t want the surface dripping wet but damp is good. You will use considerably less glue as well. We have since used this with leather and terra cotta – other very dry materials. One of the things that was happening was that without being primed most of the glue was soaking in and nothing left on the surface to bond. Also, a bit of moisture seems to help, in these cases, the glue to set up. I’ve been using this technique at wood shows as part of my demonstration. I’ve glued end grain on wood – by wetting the wood first then applying the glue to one side pressing the pieces tightly together for 30 seconds or so and we had some very strong guys unable to pull them apart.

Sawdust also makes an excellent fill when working with wood. One simply fills the hole with the right color sawdust and applies drops of glue. You may have to build up the sawdust and glue in increments until you have the desired thickness. This is great for stripped threads in a screw hole in a hinge on a cupboard door or a table leg.
Attempting to mix a fill which you will then put into a hole is an exercise in futility. It will turn into a solid in seconds.
Costumes
Miracle Glue will bond almost any material that one uses for making costumes. One example – if you are bonding soft vinyl or something similar, the glue will remain flexible. Because there is no solvent in Miracle Glue (it has been distilled out) it doesn’t deteriorate like Super Glue or Krazy Glue. So it will not break down. It will remain flexible. Because of the stability of the glue once something is bonded it will remain that way indefinitely.
Another specific use is for applying rhinestones. Most glues will remove the back, Miracle Glue will not.
Pam at Helen’s Pacific Costumes in Portland Oregon has been going through a half a dozen bottles a month creating costumes with Miracle Glue. They are thrilled with Miracle Glue.
Hearing Aids
Miracle Glue can be used in the manufacture of ear molds for behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids. Miracle Glue can be used to affix the tubing to the mold. When the casing shell comes off you can re-attach this faceplate with Miracle Glue. You can use methacrylate powder as a filler with Miracle Glue to mend cracks and holes so the color is matched.
If you are currently using Super Glue or Krazy glue for this type of repair or in the manufacture of hearing aids, here are some of the key differences that you will find in using Miracle Glue. First of all, it has a much longer shelf life. Keep it refrigerated when you are not using it and you should be able to get about three years out of it. When using the glue, you can leave the lid off without worrying about it drying or clogging. Don’t necessarily leave it open for days at a time but you can leave it open for some hours. (Keep the room where you are working well-ventilated.) Miracle Glue remains clear and flexible. It won’t discolour when using it with filler. If you were to use Miracle Glue to attach two pieces of flexible vinyl together, the vinyl would remain flexible.
Remote Control (RC) Planes
Miracle Glue has a number of features that will be useful to RC model builders.
Flexibility– For Glider Wings – Miracle Glue remains flexible once cured. Also, using Miracle Glue your canopy wing panels will remain flexible.
Foam Safe – Miracle Glue is safe for foam core wings. It will not damage them.
It won’t fog clear plastic canopies.
Miracle Glue will work with any accelerator.
It will glue Balsa wood.
Maintenance – Apartment
The uses for a good glue in apartment maintenance (or office maintenance) are almost too numerous to count. Be sure to look at the site map, but Miracle Glue can be used for repairing stripped screw holes in a hinge, laminate on a countertop or a cupboard door, or a wobbly leg on a chair or table. Miracle Glue is very fast and has a 3-year shelf life when stored in the refrigerator. You will get to use it all before it goes bad.
Automotive
Miracle Glue will do a great job repairing a lot of things on your car and other automotive vehicles. It is the same base as Super Glue or Krazy Glue but the solvents have been distilled out. Being pure it is much stronger than either Super Glue or Krazy Glue and it also dries clear and flexible. And it is foam safe – it won’t melt things like neoprene or Styrofoam. But the really wonderful thing about Miracle Glue is that you get to use it all.
We do all sorts of car, hot rod and motorcycle shows with Miracle Glue. It will do most plastics and rubber – no problem. I’ve even had a couple of people tell me they have fixed a fan belt with Miracle Glue. You can combine different materials – you can repair the weather stripping around the door or window or gaskets. Most interior plastics. A broken plastic grate on the front of your car. Light lenses. And remember that it dries clear and flexible so if you are repairing something like a clear vinyl window, Miracle Glue won’t discolor or go brittle like Super Glue.
Line-X Truck Bed Liners
One Line-X dealer in Eugene Oregon goes through about 6 large bottles of Miracle Glue a year. They use the glue to:
– repair cuts or gouges in the bed liner.
– It will glue the liner to itself or to metal.
– fasten drains in trailers or jeeps (Where you have to relocate the drain). Done in seconds.
– Drain accessories.
– Put the keyway back in a forklift when stripped.
Another use was to grab stray nuts or bolts when they fall into unusual places. You can’t use a magnet with aluminum or stainless – put a couple of drops of Miracle Glue on a wire reach it to the fallen nut or bolt and leave it touching for a few minutes, then just lift it out.
Kept refrigerated Miracle Glue will last. A bottle can be kept open for several hours while working on a project. If you order more than one put the extras in the refrigerator.
Fishing and Hunting
Rods, lures, ties – particularly lures…(Use Miracle Glue!)
I’ve received amazing feedback at sportsman shows with Miracle Glue uses in this area – Fishing. You can glue almost anything you need to with this great fishing glue: all kinds of lures, flies or a tip back on a rod. Miracle Glue dries clear and flexible, is foam-safe and has a much longer shelf life than Superglue or Krazy Glue. The solvents in Super Glue and Krazy Glue are damaging to plastics and foams. Not so with Miracle Glue. So your lures will remain flexible and won’t get destroyed by Miracle Glue. And they’ll be totally waterproof. Once cured it is non-toxic so there will be no effect from the glue in the water.
Aside from the above, it will repair almost any of your other lures – various plastic lures that become torn can be glued back together. You can create them or repair them. I have glued almost every combination together – the ones it won’t do are the very oily ones – nothing will stick those!! You can also use the glue to attach the lure to a hook.
Other uses: You can use the glue to hold your knots fast. Tie the knot then add a drop of glue. One can even tie knots in Tuff Line (Spectra®) and they won’t come apart. This line is very sleek and normally won’t glue very well but Miracle Glue locks the knots in place.
Neoprene Waders! Glue them edge to edge or patch them – they’ll stay flexible and waterproof. Miracle Glue will not melt the neoprene as it contains no solvents.
Toys
Miracle Glue will repair most toys. You can glue hard plastics. Action figures. Lego. Dolls – all kinds of dolls! Diecast cars, planes, trains and other play toys bond together very well with Miracle Glue. It won’t melt the plastics as there is no solvent in Miracle Glue and it won’t discolor as Miracle Glue dries clear. Any kind of wooden toy can be repaired easily with Miracle Glue. If the wood is unfinished – very porous, moisten with water and you’ll find that you’ll need much less glue and the bond will be much stronger.
Pewter statues and toys like this will also bond extremely well.
Using super glue or Krazy Glue on vinyls, plastics and foams doesn’t work very well as these two types of glue contain solvents which make the glue crystallize, get brittle and discolor. Additionally, it will melt foams like Styrofoam and neoprene. Miracle glue is safe on all of these things as it contains not solvents. But the really nice thing is that Miracle Glue has a much longer shelf life than Superglue or Krazy Glue. It has a three year shelf life if kept in the refrigerator.
Outdoor swimming toys that are made from vinyl – swimming pools and floats can be mended – Miracle Glue works very quickly with these materials and it remains flexible.
The soft plastic toys such as some trucks that are made from polyethylene cannot be repaired with Miracle Glue. In fact I don’t think there are any glues that will actually glue polyethylene. (Same stuff as Tupperware or a plastic gas tank.) I’ve been asked also if Miracle Glue will repair Briar horses. Not well. I believe there are two different kinds of materials – plastics that they are made of and one seems to be OK and the other not so well. They are made from pretty slick plastic so once repaired you probably aren’t going to be able to play with them. Just put them on a shelf and leave them there.
Miniatures – Doll Houses
Miracle Glue will glue pretty much anything you need in miniatures. From a hinge to the shingles you can attach the materials and be confident that they will stay. Miracle Glue dries clear as well so if any glue squeezes out the edges, you won’t see it. It is quick and very strong. Also, when you are working on a miniature with Miracle Glue you can leave the bottle open while you are doing your project. You will not have to worry about the tip clogging if you leave it sitting open for a while. Put the cap on and keep it in the refrigerator when you are not using it but there is no hurry to put it away. There is also no hurry to attach the two materials once you have applied the glue to one of them. If you need very little glue for an application, use a pin or toothpick to apply the glue.
Motor Homes
Miracle Glue is very handy if you are travelling in an RV. It’s small and can fix a thousand things in an RV. RV’s are constantly in motion and as things are always coming loose it’s nice to have something that will repair them. Wood laminate that comes loose can be repaired with a couple of drops of Miracle Glue. A cupboard door where the hinge has stripped the screws out can be repaired with a bit of sawdust or baking soda and a bit of Miracle Glue. Clean out the screw hole, build it up inside with sawdust and glue a little at a time, let it cure, and then you can re-drill the hole and it will hold a thread.
Glue your aluminium door handle back into the glass door. Repair a tear in your canopy. Repair a loose dowel in a wobbly wooden chair or table.
Miracle Glue will glue most plastics – generally hard plastics can be glued but you won’t be able to use Miracle Glue (or anything else for that matter) on polyethylene or polypropylene – that’s your Tupperware, plastic water bottle or your plastics water or gas tank. But vinyl – like a seat cover or vinyl window will glue in seconds and will stay flexible.
Marine
Depending on what kind of boat you have or use there are dozens of uses for Miracle Glue in a marine environment. Repair vinyl windows with a piece of clear vinyl. It will stay clear and flexible and it’s waterproof. Repair your naugahyde seat covers – again they’ll stay clear and flexible. The rubber gasket in a boat window – use Miracle glue to glue it back to the boat material and to the window. Repair the wood laminate in your galley. If you have a hinge in a cupboard door in your galley where the screws have stripped out repair with some sawdust and Miracle Glue. A pressure crack in a boat can be repaired with a bead of Miracle Glue
If you are doing white water or just need the occasional repair on the inflatable or rubber raft, use Miracle Glue to glue the patch. It will stay flexible and waterproof.
If you fish from that boat then you have another 1000 and one use for the glue.
If you are wakeboarding, skiing or diving then you likely have neoprene and/or rubber that will need mending from time to time. You can either patch neoprene waders and wetsuits with another piece of neoprene or glue it edge to edge if it is a tear.
You do not want to go out on your boat without a bottle of Miracle Glue for emergencies.
What’s been done to make Miracle Glue different from Super Glue or Krazy Glue is that the solvents have been distilled out. So, as Miracle Glue is pure it is much stronger and there are no solvents to make it discolour and go brittle. And it is foam-safe. But the real benefit is that you get to use it all. Miracle Glue has a much longer shelf life than Superglue or Krazy Glue.
Store it in the fridge and you’ll get a very good shelf life out of it. It is usually good for 2-3 years of use. Use it at room temperature for best results.
